Master Question by just curious: How safe is it to travel in Guatemala these days?
I am interested in Guatemala City, Chichicastenango, Antigua. Looking to learn some Spanish, check out historical/cultural sites, do some budget travel on our own... the usual touristy stuff, but not with a tour group.

Question by feckless: I'd like to take a surfing vacation in the Seychelles. Where do you recommend?
I'm about to move to Dubai, and I'm already planning a surfing vacation. I've always wanted to go to the Seychelles. Any info you have would be great. I'm not opposed to a 'all inclusive' tour type thing, but I'd kinda like a bit more rough and tumble. Not 5 star, maybe 2.5 to 3 stars....

This is our Tour Guide in Lebanon. This shows a little of his road rage and knowlegeable touts about life. He was great fun and made the tour enjoyable and funny, as did his younger brother Amel in the lead vehicle. An unforgetable journey for the 4 of us in his van. We laughed and nearly Shit ourselves on many an occasion. Thanks Maxim for the Joyful Experience.
September 26th, 2012 Master Question by lemontreegr: Do you think doing 3 combat tours in 3 years is a little crazy?
Ok joined in 06 the National Guard, was deployed after AIT and did a tour in Djibouti (which is a combat tour because we get the same pay and benefits of OEF its kinda like Kuwait in a warzone but no war)than i extended so i am in the middle of a second tour now, In Jan 09 my BCT is going to Iraq but i do not have to go because i will just be getting back and my name will be at the bottom of the list, but i could volunteer to go making it 3 tours in 3 years, Should i just stay home and count my lucky stars or go to Iraq and make more big money its my choice.
BTW i am a little burned out but we are talking big money here i already saved a huge amount!

You'll be bored in the rear. Very bored...
I've only been retired for a little while, and I'm already looking at going back with MPRI or somebody to either Iraq or Afghanistan. It's driving me nuts...
Plus, you'll probably feel guilty (you shouldn't, but you will).
